Dr. Liberty EvankoI discovered my love of teaching when I took a year off from my undergraduate studies to teach English to elementary school children in Moscow, Russia. Upon returning to college, I pursued educational courses in addition to my science curriculum. I received my PhD in Physics/Astronomy from Brigham Young University.

I have 10 years of teaching experience at the university/college level. Currently I teach online courses in the physical sciences for local community colleges. As owner of Whiteboard Workshops, I enjoy being able to work with all ages and the natural sense of exploration they bring to a topic. I love teaching others about the wonders of the world through the physical sciences and I delight most in the sparkling of students’ eyes when they grasp a concept for the first time.

My most important students are our three young boys. They are the greatest blessing in my life and fill my days with teaching. I enjoy sharing their natural discovery of the world around them. As a family we have also begun the academic journey of reading, writing, and arithmetic in our home.

Benjamin EvankoI received both a bachelor of fine arts in industrial design and a bachelor of science in biology from Brigham Young University. Currently I am a Senior Design Manager for a trade show exhibit company. In my free time I enjoy photography and I am a member of the Huntsville Photographic Society. Other artistic interests include painting, sculpting, and woodworking.

As an instructor, it is a pleasure to guide others in developing the skills necessary to express themselves artistically. I have found that when provided with a camera and instruction for making the most of its features, many children have a natural ability for photographic composition and create wonderful pieces. I am equally passionate in sharing my love of biology. I particularly enjoy studying and teaching about ecology and how all systems can work together for the better of the whole.
