Family Workshops

Family workshops provide your students with an individual presentation by Dr. E on a physical science topic of the parents choosing. Each workshop is a little over an hour and includes lecture-time, hands on experiments, worksheets and a themed snack. Workshops can add to topics you are already studying or offer an independent physical science curriculum. Parents are also welcome to attend. Depending of the size and depth of chosen presentation topic, workshops are scheduled as single meetings or up to a series of four weekly meetings.

• Weather

• Pressure and flight

• States of Matter (solid, liquid, gas)

• Shadows

• Light and mirrors

• Geology

• Simple machines

• Force

• Space and Planets

Cost:

Each one hour workshop is $25/hour for the first two children present and $5/hour for each additional child up to six children. Families are welcome to combine with friends but it is recommended that all children present be within 6 years of the same age.
